Italy

Travel

The definition of Vacation is “an extended period of recreation, especially one spent away from home or in traveling”.While most people see a vacation as a time to sit back, relax and drink an alcoholic beverage (probably pool side), my girlfriend and I see it as a time to travel internationally and take as many tours as we possibly can until our feet bleed. Italy was next up on the list and this vacation had a different approach than the previous ones. Instead of staying in one part of the country for the entirety of the trip, we decided to visit four cities over a ten day span. We settled on Rome, Florence, Milan and Venice, booking tickets through Italia Rail to take us from city to city.

As I stated in my Barcelona post (see travel section) we tend to take A LOT of pics. I won’t even get into the total number of pictures taken in Italy but let’s just say WE TOOK A LOT. Now after sifting through all of them I have once again dwindled it down to my top 10, followed by a bonus. Hope you enjoy!

My Top 10 Best Photos from Italy:

1- Piazza Navona

2- Castel Sant’Angelo

3 – Colosseo

4 – Ponte Santa Trinita

5 – The Birth of Venus

6- Duomo Di Milano

7 – Bulgari Hotel Milano

8 – St Mark’s Basilica

9 – Rialto Bridge

10 – Venice

Bonus:

This picture might not seem like much but it is my favorite from our trip. There’s no cathedrals, paintings or sculptures. It’s just a photo taken from behind while my girlfriend gazes over Venice canal. This is my favorite due to the pure excitement that she had a time. I can’t recall ever seeing her so excited on any of the trips that we have been on. She stayed next to the driver for a majority of the tour (which I made fun of her for) while I sat from afar. Her face said it all and while you can’t see it I will never forget it. I couldn’t have been happier.
