I got wind of an event being held at the Dorian Grey Gallery in the lower east side of NYC. A quick email and an RSVP later Paola and myself were headed to the 35 year review of stencil art containing work from 25 artists from around the world. Street art is all around whether you are conscious of it or not. I myself have seen it all over the world in countries like Spain, Paris and London but have previously failed to document any it for my own pleasure. Over the past couple of years I try to take a photo whenever I can since it could be there one day and gone the next.
This exhibit had work from many artists that I have heard from before and have taking a liking to such as Joe Iurato, ICY and SOT and Logan Hicks. It also featured work from other popular artists such as Banksy, Blek Le Rat and Nick Walker and featured work from a lot of artists who I have never heard of before. It gave me a chance to check out their work first hand and even got to meet some of the people that I admire. If you have a chance check out the exhibit.
